Description/Duties :
|
Duties: Implement a successful on-the-ground operation of recycling and refuse systems for Stevens Pass Resort during the winter season. Enact goals and mission of the Environmental Services Department to reduce solid waste, and capture all recyclable materials possible. Coordinate day-to-day refuse and recycling stream for all produced waste. Oversee transfer of recycling and refuse to on-site holding facilities. Ensure refuse is handled appropriately, safely and efficiently. Load, drive, and empty commercial-sized garbage truck as scheduled. Work with other departments (e.g. Food Service, etc.) to ensure that as much recyclable material as possible is diverted out of the refuse stream and into the recycling stream. Transport materials and goods to and from the mountain.
Experience: Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement and a valid DOT Health Card. Must have a clean driving record and pass all required DOT drug and alcohol screenings. Must be comfortable working unsupervised. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly on a daily basis. Must demonstrate a friendly and helpful attitude. Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.
