Description/Duties :
|
SUMMARY:
Utilizes basic knowledge of Carlisle and/or industry standard cable assembly manufacturing practices in order to develop and maintain manufacturing process data, and information.
Provides production support in the generation of Standard Work, direct floor support for engineering-related issues, responding to EARs, redline drawings, and corrective action. Works with production and engineering to develop production aids, identify and secure proper tooling and equipment, and training in manufacturing processes, equipment operation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets customer drawings and specifications in order to develop manufacturing process instructions (Standard Work).
Interprets customer drawings, specifications, and Sales input in order to assist engineering in developing a quote BOM for customer assemblies requiring cost estimates.
Works with Carlisle Production personnel and Process Engineers in developing and implementing process improvements.
Provides AutoCad drafting support for Carlisle Engineering department, and for the development of Standard Work documentation.
Provides accurate Bill of Material template, including clearly defined technical notes to sales and data entry for order entry and BOM entry.
Provides production floor support as required, addresses technical issues, responds to EAR, interprets and redlines drawings, and assists in responding to CAR
Assists or directly provides training in manufacturing processes, machine operation, and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Cable/Harness & Interconnect Assembly experience is highly desirable.
Associates degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent; or 1-2 years experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent personal computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office and AutoCad LT.
Ability to read and interpret documentation from select customers within sales division.
