Duties & Responsibilities

Do you have strong decision making skills and strong personal and professional boundaries? Do you have the ability to work Day, Swing and/or Graveyard shift?
If this sounds like you, we would like you to consider our opportunity to be on the list for On-Call Resident Monitor opportunities. These opportunities vary by location and shift in the Seattle, Tacoma and Kitsap Peninsula area.
This position is responsible for enforcing policies and procedures of Pioneer Human Services and the Department of Corrections. The incumbent is responsible for supporting and maintaining the safety and security of all staff and residents.
Requirements
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen are a requirement for this opportunity.
Individuals selected for these opportunities should have the ability to work any shift.
Education & Experience Required
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelors degree or coursework in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Social Work or related field preferred
One (1) year experience working with offenders and/or individuals who are incarcerated preferred.
Ability to monitor and report out the daily activities of the house that will demonstrate the accountability of the residents within the framework of the house policies
Demonstrated experience supporting residents to learn new and proactive skills to be successful in the community
Ability to maintain the facility
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with clients, peers, management and corrections personnel
Demonstrated experience working as a contributing member of a team
Understanding and practicing the concept of establishing strong personal and professional boundaries
