Description/Duties :
|
As a Cruise Consultant:
You will increase sales and market share on Holland America Line cruises and Alaska cruise tours. This is a commissioned telesales position which requires numerous daily OUTBOUND calls to contacts from one's assigned database of guests/clients. Calls are also made to new leads generated by marketing efforts and distributed through the company's customer data base. Answering inbound client calls. Contact database via structured email initiatives.
Essential Functions:
1. Ability to contact large guests/client data base by numerous outbound calls.
2. Ability to close sales on the phone, strong verbal communication skills.
3. Must complete 40 external outbound contacts per day and 3.5 hours external talk time daily.
4. Meet department revenue standards per month and fiscal year.
5. Ability to multi-task; backup one's "buddy" when they are out of the office.
6. Ability to successfully resolve issues and concerns of booked guests to further build guest/PCC loyalty.
Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, persistent and quick learner
Willingness and ability to maintain a positive, proactive disposition in the face adversity
Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work long consecutive hours at one station
Ability to work non-standard shifts and weekends
Ability to focus primary objectives amidst various distractions
Ability to learn and employ sales-oriented scripts and phone presentations
Ability to learn and maintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures, both booking and otherwise.
Ability to apply professional sales techniques in the promotion and sale of cruises and cruisetours to the customer.
