Description/Duties :
|
Star has an employee focused atmosphere that focuses on training and development to help our employees advance vertically through the industry. Due to our continuous growth, Star is currently hiring for newly created Security Officer positions.
As a Security Officer you will be responsible for:
„X Interacting with a variety of persons including: clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public
„X Enforcing client and company policies and procedures
„X Regulating and directing traffic as necessary
„X Escorting employees to their vehicles as requested
„X Responding, compiling and reporting all information in regards to theft, alarms, accidents and other incidents that may occur
„X Observing and reporting all unusual activity
„X Reporting all building/utility service issues as observed to facilities
„X Notifying, assisting and directing emergency personnel as necessary
„X Assisting with access to authorized personnel for secured areas
„X Operating telephone and radio equipment
„X Preparing Daily activity and incident reports
Physical Requirements:
„X Ability to walk, run and climb stairs
„X Ability to repetitively open heavy glass and metal doors
„X Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds (Roll up fire doors)
„X Be able to tolerate exposure to outside elements for up to a 12 hour shift
„X Possess sufficient hearing ability to respond to verbal speech, alarm signals, radio and telephone communications
„X Ability to stand, walk and/or drive for up to 90% of a 8-12 hour shift
„X Must speak the English language proficiently enough that it is easily understood

„X Radio and cellular telephone communication abilities
„X Ability to handle emergency situations
„X Good customer service skills
„X Professional appearance and demeanor
„X Ability to work independently while also being a team player
